Application of REXA Actuators replacing WOODWARD Electrohydraulic actuators

Having replaced the electrohydraulic actuators originally installed with 505 controllers, REXA actuators have been applied on power generation unit and driving unit.

REXA actuators can receive a 4-20mA standard control signal send output from a 505 controller allowing for fine positioning of the hydraulic servo motors, that control the governor valves, and increase or decrease unit output load precisely. 

In the aspect of system protection, REXA actuators can receive the over-speed trip signal and close the governor valve rapidly, protecting the machine.

The three new added safety oil pressure switches can close the governor valve while shutting off the main throttle valves.

The system containing REXA actuators and 505 controllers has been successfully applied in power generation and driven unit applications. From startup to full operating conditions, the various functions meet system design requirements such as ±3r/min rotation control and less than 0.5% electric power output control accuracy, DEH system can meet the operating requirements of turbine units.
